Phi Phi Island Krabi and Maya Bay Day 1

Day 1

We landed Krabi airport at around 7.30am (Thailand is one hour behind MY) and immediately bought a bus - van - express ferry transfer to phi phi in the airport. Phi Phi Island is located about 1.30 hours from Ao Nang pier and it�s only accessible with boat. The bus and boat transfer is readily available in the airport with just 490baht (49MYR).

Upon entering Phi Phi long dock, we were required to pay 20 baht for their cleaning and maintenance fee to the local cleaning department. It's stunning to see how crystal clear the sea around Phi Phi island. Even though there are large number of huge cruise ships and long boats, there is no sign of rubbish around. The local authority must be doing a great job to keep the place clean.

The place is bloomed with beautiful sexy chicks! Ladies this isn't the best place to bring your boyfriend to but guys this is the heaven that you wish to spend with you buddies. *wink.

Where to get the right tour package in Phi Phi Island?

There are so many tour shops offering tour packages and I believe there are several similar Phi Phi island tour package you can find. We took the sunset tour where it started at 2pm until 7pm. At 2pm there were people from the cruise ship company picking us up from shop that we purchase our tour package.

550baht per person with free flow hot coffee or tea and fried rice as lunch. They also pay for our entrance fee to Maya bay. *Best join big boat tour because they offer more comfortable service compare to long boat. Although long boat is cheaper but it would be much more better to travel with a huge group of people in a cruise ship and make new friends.

Maya Bay Tour Experience

We went to several islands for sightseeing, snokerling, kayaking and also to have some fun time with monkeys. The tour guide was a great fun man and the hospitality they provided was 5 stars. I believe he is one of the crews on board and he speaks well English with Thai's accent.Each time the ship stop at an island, they used mini speed boat to send us to shore or we can also jump from the second floor of the cruise ship and swim to shore. They also provide a waterproof bag for anyone that wants to bring their cameras over to shore.

The spectacular postcard view around the islands we went was magnificent Each time we circle around a new island, I would held my head up high to see the horizontal limestone island. It's just amazing what mother nature has to offer to us.

It's really easy to make friends during trips because everyone is friendly and ready to meet new people in life. During our tour we made new friends from California, Russia and some other countries.
